3DP just got a little bigger with the introduction of the WorkCell at the RAPID+TCT show in Detroit, Michigan. This newest addition to our family of large format printers will combine a build area of more than 1 cubic meter with a fully enclosed, heated chamber. Within the elevated temperatures of the print chamber, customers will have the opportunity to print high performance materials for more sophisticated applications.
As we’ve said, one unique strength of the WorkCell will be its specially designed enclosure, which will allow for a heated build area that remains consistent for the entire print. This feature will enable users to go beyond polymers that are typically printed in an open ambient environment. Such polymers will include metal-filled, glass-filled, and carbon fiber-filled materials.
Within its interior, the WorkCell is constructed with industrial strength mechatronics that include precision linear guides, high-performance motion controllers, and rigid weldment frames. As with our entire series of printers, customers will be able to capitalize on cost-effective open-market advantages and an affordable purchase price, leading to a faster return on investment.
3DP will be shipping to select partners in 2019, and pre-orders on the WorkCell are now available. If you missed our WorkCell prototype at the RAPID+TCT booth, you may contact us directly or find more information by downloading our WorkCell brochure.
