Where There’s a Will There’s a Way
There is a saying which goes: Where There’s a Will There’s a Way. Determination will overcome any obstacle and if you truly want to do something, you will find a way to do it. One of 3D Platform’s customers has demonstrated the definition of this proverb. The pictures below say it all:
Yep, that’s a 5,000 lb 4WD reach forklift, hoisting the large format 3D Printer, the 3DP1000, up to a second-floor window. There is a group of engineers waiting for the 3DP1000 to come through the 2nd-floor window. PHOTO/Avior Wirtheim/3D PLATFORM
The 3DP1000 making an entrance. PHOTO/Avior Wirtheim/3D PLATFORM The 3DP1000, an industrial-strength, large-format 3D printer, provides an enormous build volume of 1m x 1m x 0.5m. It ships pre-assembled and fully calibrated, contained in a large wood crate. The crate is specially designed to protect the 3DP1000 from potential shipping damages, and can be returned to 3D Platform. Yet, the fact that the crate is so large and requires a forklift to move around, turns out to be somewhat challenging for those who dwell on upper levels. Besides, many office spaces (especially in EU countries) have narrow doors and hallways, thus requires additional efforts to fit the 3DP1000.
3DP1000 Physical Dimensions and Weight We’ve heard from you! We’ve worked hard to improve the 3DP1000, to make it more accessible and more accurate. That is why 3D Platform will release the new 3DP1000 Workbench Series™, available to order by the end of Q1, 2016. 3DP Workbench Series
The Workbench Series™ is more than just another 3D printer, it has been designed to optimize the professional user-experience process, incorporating tools needed to take the platform to the next level. The result is a comprehensive toolkit that increases capacity. Even with its large build area, the Workbench is designed for maximum flexibility. A unique 2-part configuration will fit through a single width door, down to 24 inches (610mm) wide. This means, no more taking the printer apart and no more forklifting the 3DP1000 to the upper floor. More details about the Workbench Series™ will be revealed in early 2016, stay tuned by subscribing to our email at: http://eepurl.com/bBgWl5 , or follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram.
