Problem:
Create larger than life exhibits more efficiently
Solution:
Idaho Virtualization Laboratory uses 3D printer to create a giant wolf spider for the Idaho Museum of Natural History exhibit.
Idaho Virtualization Laboratory, housed at the Idaho Museum of Natural History on Idaho State University campus, has always had high expectations for its museum exhibits. Previously, their ability to develop exhibits in-house had been limited by size and budget. To avoid the substantial time that was needed to print multiple parts, they were looking for a larger machine that would allow them them to scale up their exhibits, such as the giant wolf spider that currently resides in their “In the Shadows” exhibit.
