3D Platform to Release Enclosures for the WorkSeries Portfolio
Roscoe, Illinois, USA – April 27, 2017 – 3D Platform (3DP), http://www.3dplatform.com, a global leader in manufacturing large-format, industrial-strength 3D machines, is releasing new enclosures. Two sizes of enclosures will be available: One for the 100, 200, and 300 series, which will retrofit to 3DP1000 machines as well; and one for the 400 series.
“The enclosures were designed to be backwards compatible,” explains Jonathan Schroeder, President of 3D Platform. “Meaning, they will be backwards compatible with every machine that we have produced and sold.”
These new enclosures can be ordered at the same time as the original machine, or at a later date, and can easily be installed in the field without requiring a 3DP or factory certified technician. Adapter kits are needed for the 3DP1000 machines, so please contact your local resellers or the factory for more information.

The design of the enclosures provides a controlled and stable environment which in turn reduces the chance of warping and shrinkage of the prints. They also prevent accidental touching. For machines that are being used in a factory/shop setting, the enclosure keeps the bed and print layers clean.
