PBC Linear: Factory Model
PBC Linear was expanding its operations to include a new 66,000 square foot manufacturing facility that would be built adjacent to the existing plant. They needed a hands-on model of the plant that included all of its machinery in accurate and relative sizes. This would allow engineers to more precisely position machines within the factory floor layout and enhance workflow. Once the models were 3D printed, they would be rearranged based on changes and internal feedback from engineers and shop-floor workers.

Problem:
PBC Linear was expanding its operations to include a new 66,000 square foot manufacturing facility and needed a hands-on model of the plant that included all of its machinery in accurate and relative sizes.
Solution:
Accurate model parts of the machines and their surroundings were 3D printed and then positioned on a wall to allow for input from employees and management.
